Below you will find a description of each mini Roll on along with ways to avoid the health issue in the first place – after all, prevention is better than cure…
Our newest Mini Roll on, Headacare contains Lavender, Peppermint and Marjoram carefully blended into Jojoba and Almond oils. Relieve your headaches by applying to the back of the neck, temples and pulse points.
Often headaches are simply a sign of metabolism overload. Too much sugar, alcohol, or other compounds found in processed foods increase the load on the liver to breakdown these substances. For every chemical reaction water is required and lack of water is often a reason that headaches occur. Simply drink fresh water (not tea, coffee or fizzy drinks,) as a first choice to relieve headaches. Deep breathing and cold water can sometimes be the simplest headache cure.
Our Relaxer Mino Roll On contains Camomile, Lavender and Geranium carefully blended in Jojoba and Almond oils. Lavender is one of our favourite essential oils. Most commonly known for its relaxing effects on the body, the fragrance is calming, relaxing and balancing – physically and emotionally. Once absorbed through the skin after massaging onto temples, it affects the amygdala gland, and calms the mind. Use on neck muscles, pulse points and under the nose for stress relief.
What else can you do to relax? Just breath – nothing reduces stress as fast as noticing the breath. Take a few seconds to stop shallow breathing, and to take a few controlled, long deep breaths – almost like sighs. Doing this is like taking a step back from a situation so you observe it for a moment rather than being in the flight or fright mode producing cortisol. When you breathe deeply, together with aromas that are calming, the parasympathetic nervous system is stimulated reducing the cortisol levels. This helps us to think more clearly and get out of the panic situation.
If you suffer from sinus pain, try using the Sinus Soother Mini Roll On, on the sides of your nose, under your cheeks, above your eyebrows and behind the ears to relieve congestion. Containing Tea Tree, Eucalyptus and Lavender carefully blended in Jojoba and Almond oils, the Eucalyptus opens up air passages, Lavender soothes membranes and Tea Tree is anti-infectious. Take care to avoid contact with your eyes.
Did you know that wheat and dairy products may contribute to sinus and nasal congest? Reducing the intake of these products may offer some relief. Seasonal pollen or changes in weather also affect how congested we are. Vitamin and mineral support is often suggested, as is a healthy diet to reduce phlegm and mucus. Obviously staying warm (with clothing layers rather than heaters) will help nasal reaction to cold weather.
Our Zap Zit Mini Roll On contains Tea Tree, Lavender and Bergamot, all known to be good at disinfecting and healing acne and blackheads. Simply massage as often as required onto the pimple area for relief.
Also be aware that diet is key to pimple or acne control, though hormones can be the underlying cause. What we can control is what we eat or drink and despite the published claim that chocolates do not affect the cause of pimples, it is repeatedly proven that an increased sweet and fatty diet aggravates the formation of pussy pimples and acne. Lack of cleanliness leads to blocked pores and blackheads especially on the face and upper back. Healthy (food found in nature!) diets and clean scrubbed skin will reduce the occurrence of pimples.
We all hate getting bitten by mozzies or any insects for that matter. If you’re one of those people that mosquito’s find delicious, then the Zap Bites Mini Roll On needs a place in your bedside drawer. Containing essential oils of Camomile, Tea Tree and Lavender in sanitising gel base, it is so easy to treat insect bites or stings, whether at home or on your next camping trip.
Mosquito and fleabites are hard to control when one lives in Africa or if one has pets. Creams containing some essential oils can be a deterrent to being bitten, so apply lotions that are enriched with essential oils. Practical mosquito nets and screens on windows are preventative for insects that fly. Clean pets and carpets reduce flea infestation. Avoiding scratching helps so as soon as one is bitten apply the appropriate product to stop the itch and inflammation.
