Pain Relief products: What is the difference between Roll On, Spray On & Rub In Relief?
0Whether you are a stressed out corporate who spends hours in front of a computer screen resulting in a stiff neck, or a sports fanatic with muscle cramps or joint pain at the end of an intense workout, at some time in our lives we all need some form of targeted pain relief.
Inconvenient and painful, most of us search for quick fixes to ease the tension. Essential oils derived from nature can go far in alleviating this pain, but what most people do not realise is that essential oils can be highly beneficial to not only the relieve the pain but in the initial prevention. After all, prevention is better than a cure…
Essential oils easily penetrate the skin and can be carried through the blood and tissues within minutes making them the quick fix not many people are aware of.
Aromatic Apothecary have a range of muscle and joint pain relief products that have all been developed by a pharmacist out of a real need by one of our customers or family members.
All our Relief products contain essential oils of Ginger, Rosemary, Peppermint, Lavender, and Menthol. The menthol instantly cools the area, before the joints or muscles are warmed up by the Ginger and Rosemary.
But whilst they contain the same ingredients, it’s the base ingredient and the application method that really sets them apart. There are three different application options available:
– Roll on Relief
– Spray on Relief
– Rub in Relief
Roll on Relief is best for self-massage or deep muscle penetration. Essential oils are all combined into a gel base to aid in pain relief. The great part about our Roll on Relief is that it has a dual purpose: not only are you applying a therapeutic gel through a unique roller ball on to the area of pain but you are essentially massaging the area at the same time. This means no more messy hands! The gel is spread directly over the area of discomfort making it quick and easy and perfect for when you are on the go. The Roll on Relief also comes in a Sports Edition which functions in the same way – the difference however is in the gel contents. It includes the same essential oils as the regular edition together with added arnica and menthol.
Our Spray On Relief is great for those hard to reach areas. The convenient spray on application contains essential oils in a solution of water and alcohol which is perfect for easy dispersion and can be applied close to the area of discomfort for an intense and targeted application. Spray on Relief is a water based product which promotes essential oil absorption thus there is no need for massage. The easy application makes it perfect for quick relief of painful muscles, spasms and sore joints, that you would prefer not to massage
Our Rub In Relief contains essential oils in a lubricating cream base which penetrates deep into joints and muscles. The cream contains grapeseed oil to increase the glide and nourishment of the skin making it perfect for any areas in need of massaging. This product is perfect for treating arthritic joint pains, post-operative pains and any other painful joint or muscular conditions.
But which one is best for you?
The choice is yours – different areas and different pain require different applications. For example the Roll on Relief is perfect for a quick roll onto the neck during work (we keep one next to our computers) whereas the Rub On Relief is better suited before bed for a leg or foot massage. The Spray on Relief works wonders as a quick spray onto the legs before or after the gym. And the Sports Roll-On Relief should be in every gym bag (Our PR consultant, Tricia, used it during the 2014 Argus and never suffered from leg cramps or stiffness after the race)
Any time, any place, at least one of our applications will help you with muscle or joint pain. Best of all, we sell a Pain Relief Combo pack, so you can choose the best option for yourself.
